"Direct from the manufacturer" gets used loosely. Here is what it changes in practice when the people selling you the furniture are the people who built it.
Changing a dimension is normal, not special
A retailer sells what is in the catalogue. A workshop is already cutting to a drawing, so cutting to a different number is the same work. That is why we do not charge a design fee for custom sizes.
One party is accountable
When a retailer imports from a factory, a fault becomes a negotiation between three parties. When we build it, there is nobody for us to blame — which is the main reason our guarantee is worth something.
You can see it being made
Progress photographs during production are standard for us, and you are welcome to visit the floor. That transparency is only possible when production is under the same roof as the sale.
The honest trade-off
Buying direct is not instant. A retailer with a warehouse can deliver tomorrow; a made-to-order piece takes three to five weeks. If you need furniture this week, a warehouse is the right answer — and we will tell you so.
