Dining
A ten-seater dining table for a Centurion townhouse
A solid oak table sized to seat ten, built in two sections to get up a turning staircase.
The brief
A family wanted a dining table long enough to seat ten without an extension leaf.
The challenge
At full length the table could not turn the staircase into the dining level. A single-piece top was physically impossible to deliver.
What we did
We designed the top in two halves joined with concealed draw-bolts, assembled in the room. The joint sits under the centre line where it is least visible.
The outcome
A full-length table in a room that could not physically receive one in a single piece.
